Doorways
ECE ARCHITECTURE

The doorways installation takes a familiar architectural form and places it out of context to create a playful environment for the public to engage with.

The appearance of this branded environment on Worthing beach was designed to coincide with the summer solstice to help maximise publicity. This worked, with the national press dubbing it 'Doorhenge'.

The local council requested that we extend Doorways stay on the beach and the installation remain for another month to serve as a tourist attraction for the entire summer. Then, each doorway was auctioned off with all proceeds going to local children's hospice The Chestnut Tree.
